Hi, my palnts are getting a bit big now, and I want to cut some plantlets and replant them in the same tank, but I know nothing about aquarium gardening and was wondering if anyone could help me, like, where to cut them, and do I jsut attach them to a rock or soemthing?

I'm not sure what species they are, I'm pretty sure one of them is Cabomba Caroliniana and then there's another one that looks like Bacopa caroliniana, but it is less straight than that. Sorry I can't get any pics my camera is broken.
I'd appreciate any help :)

Hi
does your cabomba have any roots starting to appear anywhere up the stem? Mine got to 50cm high or so and started producing roots.I cut it off just underneath these, removed the bottom few leaves/fronds so that the stem was bare but rooted and planted straight into the substrate. If it hasn't produced roots, you can use the same technique but cut just beneath a leaf node.( a node is the join of leaves to the stem)

Cool. I was just looking at one of my plants and wondering whether I could split and replant it. Sounds as easy as I'd hoped it would be. :)

No it doesnt that I can see anyway.

It's just that they're getting big, and instead of just cutting them down to size and throwing the rest away, i wanted to replant the new stems.

Thankyou anyway
:)
