any ideas i have a molly tank and its on 26 degrees that seems alot higher than normal its normally at 22 degrees and later maybe 24 i have never seem it at 26 or is 26 ok???

My mollies are in temperatures that is usually around 27 degrees and they're fine. Unless it gets over 27, you should be okay. :) However, that big of a temperature jump isn't good. It could trigger ich. To cool it down, put a few ice cubes in a bag and float it in the tank. It should help.

i would advise you check your heater, that big of a jump, unless the ambient temp has also increased, could indicate that the thermostat is playing up. if your ambient temp has gone up, try freezing a 2L pop bottle, but only fill it 3/4. then when its frozen pop it in the tank. take care to monitor the temp change, as you do it. you may need to have two or three, replacing one with a fresh one as it melts.

cheers i cant put my heater up or down its one you just plug in and once it goe past 22 it swiches off. i 'll take the idea about the ice pop thanks :)
