I did read that if you have suckermouth catfish, it is best to mount them vertical to discourage the fish from laying on it.

Dont know if there is any truth to that, or if you have any, but there you go.

I had mine mounted around 45 degrees for quite a while, but changed it to vertical a few months back so it didnt take up so much room in the tank. Just have it mounted next to somewhere with alot of water movement, ie a powerhead or filter outlet so it distributes warm water all over the tank.
