How To Plant Plants Into The Gravel?

I bought aquarium plants, do i just need to put the roots of the plants in into the gravel and then they'll grow or do i need anything else??

Plant the plants in the gravel you need lighting and to add liquid fertilizer its pretty cheap about 3 pound a bottle and maybe add co2 if you belive you can do it. But at basic you just need high quality lighting and the plants should do ok
