I am planning on painting my aquarium dark blue. Can anyone fill me in on the type of paint to use and where to buy it?

Thanks.

i used B&Q tile paint and a mini roller to do mine. I used the foam head meant for gloss paint and it covered in one coat giving a nice finnish.
I dont know where about you live but im sure tile paint will be available on both sides of the pond :good:
You can use normal emulsion but ive heard about 4-5 coats are sometimes needed!

I just laid it down outside on an old bit of carpet, masked off the edges where i wanted a neat line and rollered away. It took about 3 hors to fully dry and stop smelling so i left it out in the sun most of the afternoon

Noone will agree with this, and it's certainly not permanent (which is why I like it) but latex paint does the trick. Just dont get it wet. I've done it twice and glad I used latex since removal is REALLY easy, but not so easy that it peels or comes off on its own. If the back of your tank is against a wall where water or anything bumping it isnt a problem, then it works great. When it's dry it's hard to get it off using a razor but if you rub water over the surface then you can peel it off in a single sheet.

I used a normal black gloss to paint the back of my tanks, looks great as well.
