How To Mix Brine Shrimp Salt Water?

I dont think im mixing the salt water corectly because my hatch rate is not very high. How do you guys mix your water to hatch brine shrimp?

3/4 cup of salt to one gallon of water works for me

I use 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt for a cut down 2 liter bottle, it probably holds 1 1/2 liters. I also add 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda to increase the hardness & pH. At 82F, you should have a nice batch in 24-36 hours.

Excelent reply from Tolak, don't forget the bicarb of soda for the hardness.
