well this is a quastion really,

here this is what i am planing to do..

veel heart
mussels
prawns
can of nutrafin flakes
peas( with skin ) needs advice.. ppl seems to be using unskinned peas on big fish with no problem.
spinach

all washed and freshlly cooked by steaming and blend it together like paste and freezing it.

when u thaw or feeding it wont break away.

any 2 pence?

I found that without gelatin, it does fall apart on defrosting; I defrost all foods before feeding.

is it gelatin is ok for fish?

all the reserch i done, noone said nothing about this. since u blend the veg and meat like paste, it wont fall apart.
it only dos in the part, where, the fish have bite on it..

right..?

Gelatin is fine for fish, as far as I know.

I've used similar recipies, Peas with the skin on are absolutely fine as long you blend them well.

This is the method i've used before to make fish food, i either make a meat based one or a fish based one, i don't mix them both together.

Either Beef heart or White fish and prawns
A couple of multivitamins
A bag of frozen peas
Prawns with shells

Blend it all together, then add a little corn flour, then slowly dry in the oven :good:

when i had my discus i made a seafood based mix which was made up of

2 cups squid
2 cups prawns
1 cup hikari gold pellets
1/4 cup cooked shelled peas
big double handfull of baby spinach ( blanched)
5 cloves of garlic
4 multivitamin tablets ( crushed)
4 spirulina tablets ( crushed)
1 VERY ripe banana , which helps bind everything together .

the fish went mad for it , and grew very well on it indeed . took me about 10 mins to make

the 2nd batch i made , i couldnt get squid so i usede mussles , they fish were not keen on this 1 .
