How to kill internal parasites?

Hi guys, i suspect my gouramis dead was cause by internal parasites. Never had them before so not a clue as to what signs should look for and how to get rid of them? Do i isolate everyfish i think is infected? and what should i buy to treat them?

I find using medicated food like pepso or tetra min medicated flakes workd best on internal bacterial or parasite diseases. Usually the fish will become lethargic and may not eat as well or not at all. Also the stomach starts to get thin looking or hollow looking. These are real buggers to treat but the good thing is that most of the time if you can isolate the sick fish then the chances for speading are slim as the others would have to munch on their buddy to get infected. As for isolating fish i only do this if they exhibit symptoms. HTH
