ok my plants have been growing like mad recently and need a severe trim and tidy up. Majority of them have shot straight up to the surface of the tank and now need cutting back. Does merely cutting the top off of most plants encourage side shoots and bushy growth?
Also I had spaced out some of my plants separately, is it better for me to now move them around and pack them in a bit tighter to each other in species groups to give the bushier look? Will they mind terribly if I pull some up and re-plant?
Too be honest I didnt really expect so much growth as I have just under 1 wpg in my tank and the plants have only been in the tank for a few weeks! Only lost 1 plant which withered and never came back to life. others are doing great!
I have some dodgy pictures on this thread if you want to have a look! Everyones tanks on here look so organised and mine is starting to resemble a wild meadow!!

Java Moss is becoming especially crazy on my bog wood, should I just trim all the long hanging bits right back and leave the bits that are stuck onto the wood?
Oh and if anyone can id the plant with thin stems and big flat leaves (not sure if the photo's are up to it!) would much appreciate it! It almost looks like a non aquatic but its growing like wild fire and putting roots out and everything so I doubt it.
Cheers from a plant novice!!
