Hello,
We just started keeping adf's in our 10 gallon---really loving them more than I thought I would----anyway, we had two and went to get a third the other day. With the previous ones the person at the store just grabbed the frog with her hand. When we went to get the third one the person (a real loon, but that's another story) got him out with a net. When we got him home we realized he had lost more than half of an arm, we didn't notice it was missing before she netted him. We kept an eye on him and he was able to get up for air and after he settled in was pretty active so we kept him. Over the next couple of days his stump was getting more white so I assume that was infection. He was still quite active, but this morning I found him dead in the tank. Poor little thing.
After all my ramblings, my question is: is it better to catch them with your hand or a net?
Thanks in advance
