hello ive just bougth some live brineshrimp in plastic bags. Can i just pour them into the fish tank? the water looks and smells horrible. If not how do i go about it? thansk

i personally cut the top of the bag off and pour the shrimp into the fish net then run the shrimp in the net under tap water for a little bit, then put the shrimp in the aquarium and watch the fish gobble them all up.

Shrimp are cultivated in salt water which is why i wash them off in tap water, you have less risk in introducing disease into your aquarium by not pouring the water from the bag in with them.

hope this helps

If you have any of the Interpet (I think) medicines, they come with a pipette to measure the dose.
When I feed my DP's I use one of those pipettes so I just get a small amount at a time.
I also use it if I have live bloodworm, daphnia etc.
:good:

i would never pour the water in, just use a net and catch them first as said earlier by Scotty001
