On my AC50 filter, the U shaped tube that connects the intake tube to the filter accumulates a lot of (what looks like) rust colored algae. I try running scalding hot water in there but it cant get it off the sides very well and I have nothing I can jam in there.
What sort of cleaning products are ok to use? Obviously I would rinse well afterwards, but is it ok to put a little bleach in there to see if it will take it off?
