Fish Herder
Recently, I've noticed that some of the males in my 64L are really going for other fish in the tank, and after a good hour of unsuccessfully trying to catch them with a net, I tried a new plan.
I used my breeding net and put it with the hole facing outwards, so the fish could swim in. I then baited it with a couple of slices of cucumber and waited...
Once the right fish were in there, I simply detached it from the side of the tank, hole facing upwards, and netted them out!
I'm very pleased to say that I've already caught one of the platies I was after, so only one more to go!
I also think I'll be using this technique in future to give the fishies some treats, and to catch any more pesky boys!
