I just bought some cheap terracotta pots today for my bettas tanks and I wondered the best way to clean them?
Would just soaking them in hot water be OK? I dont like the idea of using soap or bleach or anything on any animals things.
What do you think...?
Thanks.

If it were me I would probably be overly concerned, put them in a pot and boiled them in water for a bit!!

Maybe soaking would be enough to clean them but unless its boiling water its not going to kill all the bacteria that are on it.

Then again...I'm very cautious!! :)

I think Ill get really hot water in a bucket and leave them to soak a while then scrub them over and rinse all off.......... then maybe leave them to soak even longer again!
I dont know lol, Im always paranoid of putting anything in tanks!

I'll jump on the boiling bandwagon (hot! hot!!) and agree with the others. :good:
Die, nasty bacteria! :sly:

ps dont forget to block the hole up if there is one....I used plastic buttons and aquatic glue for mine....
