how old should fry be or what size should they be to put into a community tank ?

People say big enough and fast enough to escape the mouths of other fish.
I find that when you first put them in they heven't experienced any danger and are a bit slow when other fish come towrds them. It's a case of when you feel they are big enough.

I love em!!! One of my guppies gave birth yesterday and I was like a little child at christmas!
I feel that babies give you a sense of satisfaction.

I've got a guppy tank that has 11 adult guppies in and i'm hoping that it's going to cycle it's self. Guppies and mollies are the only ones i've successfully been able to breed oh and one 1 random mickey baby that I found in the tank. And it sounds sad but I love him, he makes me smile!

well we just had 35 little swordtail fry delivered late last week but i called my lfs and they said 2 weeks should be enough time that is when we plan to transfer them we also have a preg. guppy due in 3 weeks or less so that will allow me to cycle my fry tank long enough to get ready for her fry and we will wait 2 weeks with hers to but those fry already purchased so they wont make it to a main tank
your babies should be a good size if you have large fish in your comm. tank but a week atleast is good enough for the fry if the older fish are also small
