How Old Were You When You Got Your First Fish And Fish Tank?

Just wondering how old were you when you got your first fish and fish tank and what were the fish you got and what size tank was it? I'll start off. I was 11 when I got my first fish and tank it was 4 black tetras in a 10g tank and I still have 3 of them although when I was 6 or 7 I had 2 goldfish in a 1g fish bowl.

I was 10 when I got my first. It was a goldfish that I got from the Fair. I didnt know how to take care of it so it died later on, it was in a 1gallon bowl....

13, im 14 now, i saved up 35 pound, saw a 15 us gal tank for 64 pound, me and my mum put our money together and viola , its in my room

Well the reason I picked fish keeping up again was because we had a project at school so I needed 5 goldfish but the guy at lps said black tetras would be a better choice. Good thing he told me or I would have gotten 5 goldfish for a 10g that wasn't cycled

Heh, August 2nd of last year, I was 16 and had some spare cash so I got a filter and some fish and used an old 10 gallon tank that a friend gave me. They all died, I came online to find out why, joined this forum and the cories I purchased the second time around are still with me today ^^

I was 14 and won a yellow goldie at a fair. He had to live in a fruit bowl for a couple of days and my dad bought me a 4 gallon plastic tank with a sponge filter for him. Had him a few years. Been keeping goldfish and tropicals ever since, though its tropicals at the moment.

It was my 12th birthday I set-up my first tank.
I had read a few books on it, so I cycled it with danios, and kept 3 small gouramis.
The gouramis eventually got too big, so I sold them.
