They can, but remember that the conditions need to be correct, this means acidic water.

my conditions are perfect i think they have already spawned once but they ate the eggs i think

Captive bred rams often lose their parenting instincts and consume their own eggs and fry. However if they do this again you can remove the parents.

you could try beef heart, but i just used bloodworm if you have acid water a gourami will spawn too my just did as well so i have rams a gouramis spawn, need to get one more tank now
