I'm sure this has been asked before - but I've not seen it.

I had MTS before I ever discovered TFF. Now, not only do I usually spend the best part of a day a week toying with my tanks (I don't know how people manage to do their water changes quickly when they have multiple tanks - sitting and staring at the fish after their weekly maintenance is surely an essential part of it :p) - but I also spend quite a lot of hours looking at topics on here.

The trouble is - with planted community tanks - there are so many different forums to look at. I think some of you spend most of your time in just one or two forums - but I have to look at about 7 just to see if there's anything interesting about the fish I keep - and then there's the Planted Forum and Chit Chat and the Beginners Forum (I like to answer a question - when I can - if there haven't been any replies because it's so disappointing if nobody responds) - it can easily stretch into hours just for one visit. :hyper:

Sometimes I just lurk here without posting - because once I have posted something I have to come back and look at any further replies. Sometimes I can go for weeks without visiting at all - but then I have a spare moment and back I come.

Trouble is - I work from home and the computer is always on during the day - so it's easy just to have a peek. And I don't have to feel too guilty because I'm self employed - it's my own time and money I'm wasting! It's just soooo addictive though - definitely a syndrome

Are you an addict too? I'm not waiting around for any replies - I've got work to do - but I'll be back .......................

I'm an addict too, I'm afraid! The computer stays on all day and if I run out of things to do, I pop on here. I spend mostly mornings when the girls have gone to school and evenings when they've gone to bed.

DEFINITELY!!!
I only discovered this forum recently - I used to look at another one but this one is so much bigger/more popular. And because of that there is SO much more to read. It really is a wealth of information & I spend far too much time on here. At first it was just my lunch break at work & maybe half hour in the evening.... now it's becoming quite a bit more than that!!!
Fortunately, my role is changing in my current employment & I seem to have quite a bit of spare time in this transitional period.

EDIT: Oh no, I've just discovered the "oddball" forum... even though I don't keep any, i'm fascinated with them.... that means even more time on here.... HELP, someone call the doctor!!!!!!!

All I have to say is thank goodness I have a job where they don't mind me going online every day! :p
(It really is addicting!)

I work in IT, so am always on the internet, and TFF gets regular visits!

Me too, when I get home from school it's always the same, boot up computer, check emails, check TFF. It's so good though, especiall when you've got a new tank in progress.

If my boss is reading this.. only about 2 minutes per day.. (in my lunch of course)

If he's not.. on and off all day...
