How Much Sand Will I Need To Buy...

Hi

I want to put a layer of 'special stuff' (any suggestions gratefully received!) in the bottom for the plants then cover it with some black sand. I intend to put dwarf cories in there. I have no idea how much sand I need to buy. Can anyone help me please?

If you want a black substrate, why not just have a complete substrate of eco-complete, its an excellent substrate, its black and for a PFK nano you'll only need one bag, so it wont break the bank. It does raise the GH and KH of the tank water but in my experience only by a few degrees.

I've got pygmy corys in my nano with EC and they seem fine and the plants grow like mad.
