I have a small lattice plastic bowl, it came with some clothes pegs i bought. I have no use for it and after seeing the pinned notice on riccia, i decided that i would cut some entrances out of it and have a go at making a cave.

The dish is approx 65mm tall and 125mm in diameter. I'm looking to buy some riccia with a bunch of other plants i'm ordering online. I have no idea how much i'll need. I understand that it spreads out and will cover the whole thing in time, but so i don't have a blue plastic bowl in my tank thats too visable, what quantities would be good to have a reasonable starting point for growth?

I can sell you a very big handfull for £2.50, that should cover it, and if you want anymore then I can sell you some more. Are you interested? Also, you wouldn't have to pay for shipping, just send an SAE (Stamped addressed envelope) to my address, with £2.50 in and i'll put it in a sandwhich bag and send it back out to you.

how much postage would i need to put on the return envelope? i'm planning on getting a few plants from plantsalive.com and they have a 20% sale at the moment,

it doesn't say how much you get but they're selling it for about £1.95 -20% ~ £1.50

i'm in the process of meddeling the bucket at the mo, i'll get a pic and you'll probably be able to tell me if what i want to do is feasable...

To be perfectly honest with you mate, the gaps look to big for riccia, I think you should try some moss on it, as it eventually attaches. I don't think you will get a good look with riccia on that.
