How Much Longer

I have been doing a fish in cycle and after this week it will be for a month can anyone tell me how much longer this could possibly take?

Give me your PH, Ammona, and Nirtrate levels.

Nitrates: 5ppm

wait for your NitrItes to drop to 0ppm, then do a large water change which will remove your nitrAtes. Then fish time

As a last test - add some more ammonia (2 or 3 ppm) and see how long it takes for both your Nitrite and Ammonia levels to get back to zero. Should take 8-12 hours.

Do you mean you have been using fish to cycle?? If so DO NOT add ammonia - it'll kill your fish! If you havent been using fish then how long is it taking for your ammonia to drop from 4ppm to 0ppm???

Ammonia: 0ppmNitrites: 1ppmNitrates: 5ppm

Have you checked the nitrAte level in your tap water?
