How Many Watts

How many watts would a 4 foot tank need for heating and what temperature do you reccomend to keep it at i only need a estimate
p.s iv got guppys,tetras,bristlenose and other fish i dont know the names off

Im not too sure but i thought someone told me that you need 0.5 watts per gallon, id put the temperature at 24-25 degrees

I have, in front of me, an Algarde heater box. It says............

"Recommended size heater...... 48x15x15. 36 gall/163 litres (approx) = 300 watt"
