About how many Plecostomus could live peacefully in a 11 1/2 foot long, 4 foot wide, and 3 foot tall 2,000 gallon aquarium without getting into fights?
The plecs I'm talking about are anything from Dwarf Otos to L200's and Commons.

No, this isn't a dream. I'm going to my LFS to see where the nearest company that manufactures custom BIG tanks in a few hours. I've already earned up $1,586 for the tank by mowing lawns in my neighborhood. And, cheesy feet, when I get this 2,000, it'll kick your 270's @$$ :p , as you said your 270 would be better, so there!

Yeah it'd be no problem.

I know someone in Manchester who has 150 assorted plecs in an 8ft tank....

best keep saving for a lot longer and you might aswell come over to the uk to cut lawns aswell lol
your tank is going to cost alot of money i asked my mate how much a tank that big would be to make and he said about 3 grand thats about 5 grand usa dollars then you have to heat it filter it and many other things alot of money.

dont get down hearted but i think you are going a bit over board with a tank that size at your age and income etc ps unless your parents are millionaires :hyper:

where would you put it, how would you heat it what filters where you going to use water change something that big will take alot add the cost of all that and it will be a fortune

please dont take offence of this post as im just trying to explain the long term costs and time it will take to run it etc

cheers dane

i kno getting that would be pretty awesome, but thats way too much work for someone your age. you would need to pay someone to come in an clean it once a month.. and all plecs would get boring IMO

its just more reasonable to get something smaller. not that its not realistic. but it would be better. u could get a nice kickass smaller tank too so why 2000gal

and ive noticed how you've gone from wanting 450,225, now 2000
