ive always seen plecs by them selves in home tanks, and pretty much every kind get huge, like 12 to 16 inches or more, i think, and i am not sure but i think bristlenose plecs, also called bull dog plecs are smaller. i know for a fact that the rubberliped plec is small and only get like 5 to 6 inches.

Bristlenose and bulldogs are different. Bristlenose are a bit smaller usually (there's a few different species), 4-5 inches. They're also a bit more active. You can keep them alone just fine. They aren't particularly social, and can get territorial, but if you can get a sexed pair, they'll breed fairly easily.

in the betta section but, you can keep a single male with a female but they may end up breeding you could have females, i have had 2 in the past no trouble but they were mum and daughter
