How Many Of You Have Sucessfully Kept Shrimp With Your Betta.. And Wha

I'd really like a few shrimp in with my betta, he's quite a calm guy so i'm hoping he'd be alright.. especially if i add the shrimp during a water change as I move some of the scenery about and before I add him.

I just want to know who's managed to add shrimp before to go with a male betta and which kinds?

I realise they do often look like a tasty snack.. but they'd make a fantastic little cleanup crew if it was possible!

Oh and btw, it's a 35L tank, pretty well planted.. I was actually starting to think of C02 addition to help them out and adding some cabomba.. so if I did get shrimp, or some tank mates then this isthe biggest change to his "territory" that i'd make

i have amano shrimps with my PK, he is fine with them, not tried my other 2 boys yet

i have cherrys in with my betta girls and the cherrys still breeding well , the girls hunt and catch a shrimp every so often especially if i'm running late feeding them

ive just added shrimp straight away to my betta tank. the most he ever does with shrimp is follow them around to see what they're up to. never nipped at them.

Sounds good so far, I'll give it a go, I'm more interested in keeping cheery shrimp as I've heard they're better at keeping algae down, thanks!
