How Many Males To Females, Platy's

how many females would you have to each male platy, because after an inspection tonight i have noticed i have 3 males and 1 female thay are happy at the mo but going to my LFS tomorrow to get a few more females

the rule of thumb is 1:2 or 1:3 as the males harrass the females randy buggers

id get 5 to 7 more females

but remember they will breed like . . . well live bearers

thanks for that, i know they will bred but it will be a case of survival of the fittest as they will be left in the open tank

livebearer tend to survive quite well in tanks as they can hide amongst plants and gravel
