How Many Kuhlis Can I Keep In A 20 Gal Tank?

Hi all, I bought myself 6 kuhli loaches the other day and I noticed (without giving it much thought) that two of them were much fatter than the others. So I put them in a 10gal isolation tank on their own with a bit of java moss, a cave and not much else in it. Low and behold after about a week i saw them laying eggs, so i took the adults out and they're in my main tank now, with 50+ babies quite happily munching away on infusoria in the 10gal isolation tank

My thinking is this sounds like a great excuse to buy a new tank (hehehe) and have it for kuhli's only, cos i love those guys. So my question is, how many can I happily keep in a 20gal tank? Ideally i'd keep all of them, however I've got friends and work mates lining up round the corner to take them off me if need be.

Any help would be great, as I know kuhlis are a relatively low waste producing fish and like to be kept together, but i dont have enough experience keeping them to know how big a group I can keep in such a relatively small tank.

I'd say 20 kuhlis for a 20g.
