In my 125 ltre tank i currently have 12 neon tetra's and 4 panda cories.

I have a 400 lph external filter and a 150 lph internal filter.

Since my maths is totally useless, can anyone advise me as to how many more fish i can safely add to my tank?

I will only be having neon tetra's and panda cories in the tank

Hi Rob.Have a look at the stocking i have in my signature for my 120L tank. Granted, it does look 'busy'at times, especially at feeding time, but with my Fluval 205 external all levels are kept to where they should be..

PS- IMHO, Cardinal Tetra look soooo much better than Neon Tetra, and with a tank of your size you can have quite a nice little number.

Terry.

I would go for 20-25 neon, or cardinal like taffy apple suggested, and maybe 8 corys...
im sure you could put more in but well wait and see what other people say :good:

Thanks for that guys. Most helpful

I was looking at the cardinal tetras so I think I might be adding a few soon

In my personal opinion, I think you are better off sticking with one species. I agree with Taff, that cardinals are better looking, but since you already have neons, if it were me, I would up my numbers of neons, and they will make a fantastic looking shoal.

In your shoes, since you don't want any other fish, I would go with 15 neons and 10 pandas.

However, if it were my aquarium, I'd go with 12 neons, 8 pandas, and something else, like 4 peacock gobies.

Thanks the_lock_man.

I see you live in Pompey as i do, so which lfs do you use then?
