iv got a 140L tank and just wondering how many fish i could have in it iv got

1 x tomato clownfish (medium size)
3 x green cromis (small)
2 x blue damels (small)

someone said to me if i lay all the fish out at full length thats how many i can have but as uknow fish are all differnt sizes i havent got any for a while as im not sure how many more i can have and what other fish would be good with these

thanks for your help matt

Depends on your filtration really. Some people would say that your tank is full at the moment or even that it is not large enough to house a tomato clown. I would have to agree really unless you're using a sump and skimmer and have plenty of liverock. There is no real rule of thumb when it comes to marine tanks and how many fish you can have per gallon or liter. If I were going to add anything else to a tank that size then it would be small gobys of some sort...and even then it may be stressful since all of the fish in your tank are at least mildly aggressive.

iv got plenty of live rock 22 or24k what ever is is u need

the filters i have are

aquaclare 70 and a fuval 205

its about 125 gallon tank i need 5 x 25leter or gallon drums to fill it if that makes sence

cheers matt

it is only 125l if it takes 5 25l tubs of ro to fill it

i would return the fish and look at maybe common clowns, fire fish, gobies & cardinals. Things that stay small. Will look a lot more natural with swimming room for the fish
