hello i have a 180l tank with the following in :- 2 dwarf gouramis, 3 adult platys (6 babies), 1 german blue ram, 3 small angels and a gold nugget pleco.
just been looking around on sites and i am wondering how many more fish i could keep in this tank? water conditions are good and have been stable and apart from algae on few stones and gravel is quite easy to keep clean. have also been looking at red claw crabs, different snails and even blue lobsters. any information would be greatfu. fairly new to tropical fishand keen to learn and make my aquarium nicer and interesting. hoping to set up a smaller tank for the platys soon because they breed quite alot!

Do not get a crab or a lobster. They will eat your fish if they get half a chance. The angels will get rather large if they are treated well. Mine went from dime size to softball size in less than a year.

are your two gouramis the very colouful males? If so, they WILL fight each other eventually.

both a nice colour blue with hint of red depending of way of light. just want to get something bit different. what are best snails to get to keep bottom clean?

would i be better off getting fish that prefer the bottom of the tank such as plecos and things like that?

I'm a big fan of choosing fish according to their swimming levels. There are lots of options at every level. Many fish stores even include swimming levels in their labeling.
