well i have a 29 gal tank with 22 fish in them as you can see my signature thats what i have in my tank currently but i am just wondering is that too many? or could i add more?

What kind of algae eater is it? If it's a common Plec it will have to be rehomed because they grow to 12 inches. Other than that, the stocking seems fine, they are all smaller, schooling-type fish so other than your plec, I wouldn't really change anything.

Yeah, your stocked, maybe even alittle over stocked.

Well, I calculated you totals, based on the old inch per gallon rule, which is a guideline, and you're a little over. Without the algae eater, which without a name, could be anything from an oto to a pleco, big difference in size, you are at 36.5. Which is overstocked, but most of your fish are small, minimal waste producers, wish I knew what that algae eater was. If it's a pleco, then have fun, they grow huge! It'll need to be rehomed. I wouldn't add anymore.

Your tank is fine as tetras are low waste producers in general, depending on the algae eater also though, but its pretty much reached its stocking limits and i personally wouldn't add anymore fish. Find out what sort of algae eater you have, or at least its family group, and see whether it'll be fine in the tank from there :)

You are a little bit overstocked, but the main problem in your tank seems to be that your schooling fish(tetras) don't have proper schools.

Yeah there should be at least 6 of each type (you know the other type) of tetras like you should have 6 black tetras not 1 everything goes the same for the other tetras in the tank.

you are not overstocked, tetras don't really "fufill" the inch-per-gallon rule. However, i probably wouldnt add anything else to the tank.

My understanding has always been the inch per gallon rule was shortly after the startup stage. I would say you should not add more though. Fish always seem to do better when there are less of them.

You are not overstocked, i have had far more fish than that in a single tank.
Well, lol, I think anyone with a larger tank than a 29G has..... Except my mbuna cichlid tanks, and tanks with few large fish. ;)

Haw, haw, haw, haw. I obviously ment in a tank of similiar or smaller size.

Actually, mbuna are supposed to be overstocked, since the fish have so little room in the wild and love to fight. It disperses the aggression really well betwen them. I have seen tanks that are about 25 gallons with about 30 mbuna.
