Hi

I have the Rekord 70L (Juwel).

I currently have:

5 neons
3 swordtails
2 bala sharks
1 red finned shark
2 corydoras
3 cherry barbs
1 chinese sucking loach
1 angel
1 snail
2 african dwarf frogs
1 amoured shrimp

Am I overstocked, at the limit or can my tank cope with a couple more?

Any help appreciated

ok were to start!
70L is about 15galuk
angel will grow to big for the tank and eat your neons
the bala sharks grow to about a foot! need 75gal min
red fin shark needs 55gal and are very aggresive
i would get a bigger tank very quickly or see if your LFS will take some fish (balas, red fin, angel)

as Dan said you are waaay over

have a read of the link in my sig 'how to work out stocking lists' and look up the fish you have in the fish species profile index you'll son see the proof for yourself.

you need to aim for around 1" of fish per gallon of water, so 15" total

out of the fish you have the ones suitable for your tank are

5 neons - 7.5"
3 swordtails - 9"
2 corydoras - 4"
3 cherry barbs - 6"
1 snail - 2"
2 african dwarf frogs - 2"
1 amoured shrimp - 1"

so that's 31.5" roughly twice as many as you should have.

need to look at re-homing some fish or get a significantly bigger tank

The sharks need a bigger tank they need minimum 80 gal. The angel also needs atleast 20 gal tank. I guess u must remove them. Yeah what Miss wiggle said is right i agree with her.
