The system only has enough bacteria to support your current bioload. As long as you are not near capacity the bacteria can double in about 24 hours. So in theory you can double the bioload. I would avoid feeding in the 1st 24 hours and keep testing for ammonia and nitrite as if it was a new tank, with water changes as needed. Both readings should return to 0 and stay there fairly quickly.
Please note my comments on capacity which applies to both the filter and the tank. You can't just keep adding fish
