How many female bettas could i keep in a 2 foot aquarium about 60-80litres

id like to keep a shoal of harlequin rasboras also in here
and a bristlenose catfish

do you think this would be possible

appreciate any comments??

People would say you have to keep 6+ female bettas in a tank to stop the aggrivation between them.
I also was hoping to get a 2ft tank to put females in so I could breed them.

It would depend on how big the tank is. Do you have the measurements?

So you would have 6 bettas + 6 harlequins + 1 bristlenose = 13 fish. Which would be 13 gallons. If the fish are over 1in you would have to take this into consdieration.

Or you could wait for better advise from another member.

why do you say no cats with bettas?

just to add to the 'yes to cats and bettas' side, i kept a BN with a betta for over a year with no probs- they completely ignored each other.

I'm also curious as to why you'd say no catfish with bettas? That's absurd!

would six females and a 6 harlequins and a bristlenose be ok do you think ??
You're set up sounds ok. A bit on the over-stocked side, but will be fine with plenty of filtration in a cycled tank. Be sure to make sure the harlequins don't nip the females...I don't have any experience with them, so not sure if they are fin nippers or not.
