I currently have 3 angels in my 33 gallon. They seem to be doing fine, other than the cons bothering them a little (Im removing them as soon as possible). Could I get 1 or 2 or even 3 more? I just love those angels! How many more could I get, or is 3 the max. in a 33 gallon?

3 is pretty much the max if you're looking to keep them long term. Angels, being cichlids, can be aggressive and territorial and you should allow 10g per angel.

You could push it to it's limit and add 4 IMO. But that's the max.

I agree with this. I believe you could do 4, just be aware of any agression and declining water conditions.

I currently have 7 quarter sized angelfish in my 45 gallon. I am way overstocked...fortunately, everyone is peaceful right now. I do know, however, that once they mature I will have some serious agression on my hands. I'm preparing myself for having to separate (*sniff *sniff) or give away one or two of my babies... this is a tough thing to do when you love them all so!

But, having said all that, I would feel comfortable keeping 5 adult angels in my 45 gallon and that would still have me a bit overstocked.
