How long ?

How long can fish go without feeding. Reason being is I'm off on my hols this coming friday and I will be away for 6 days. At the moment I only feed the fish every 2 - 3 days, will they be ok. I would buy a holiday food block but i've read that they make the tank a bit of a mess. I don't know anyone locally I can ask to pop in and feed my fish.

What kind of fish do you have?
I feed mine 3 times a day.
After food tabs you need to change almost half the water, but you may have no choice.

All I have in this tank is 3 platies. I have a larger tank but I have an automatic feeder for that one. The small tank has only been running for 2 months and I have not got round to getting another feeder. I won't have time between now and friday neither because I'm a lorry driver and start work when shops are closed and finish when shops are closed.

Absolutely no problem leaving them for a few days. Holiday blocks barely contain any food anyway, they're not worth the trouble.
