I've had my fry for almost a month and I think they won't fit into their mom's (and uncle and aunt's) mouth. But they still look like they did when the were just a day old. Except now they can swim to the top of their 'tank'. I'm hoping to transfer them to the adult tank soon so they'll have more room.

So I was wondering if they go back when they looked like mini adults or just when they don't fit into the other fishes mouths.

oh okay. Is it true that if the tank they are staying in is too small, it can stunt their growth?

i have plenty of guppy fry almost 3 months old and there around 1.5 inch. They have a 15 gallon tank all to themselves which has a few live plants in and i change 25 % of the water every other day,i also have other fry that are 6 weeks old and there bout half inch in size.I am going to put the biggest ones in my 55 gallon community tank tomorrow, there gonna love it :D

Forgot to say that aslong as there not in a breeding trap/net it shouldnt affect there size, any size of tank should do until there a month or 2 old or at least big enough not to be eaten in larger tanks :)

My newborns start in a 5 gallon heated tank with an airstone. Once they start getting to about 2 months they get upgraded to a 10 gallon heated with a real filter that has a stocking covering the intake to prevent babies from being sucked up just incase. The bigger the tank, the faster they grow believe me.
