I hate when some folks use a slower means of transportation for fish. Whether I was shipping inexpensive bristlenose or, more recently, very pricey B&W plecos, I eventually only shipped over night. In the early 2000s it was OK to ship fish via priority mail for shorter hauls. Two days in transit was doable. But the postal service got slower over the years and I stopped using Priority and then even Express. I switched to overnight via FedEx and most recently UPS.
The problem with this is that it is almost impossible to send a small box of fish most places overnight for much under $100 these days. Since I was mostly shipping pretty expensive fish and people were normally buying from 5 to 10 or more fish, the economics supported going overnight.
