How Long Will It Survive?

hi guys the power is out and fish are at risk.

RYT.....how long will i be able to keep the bacteria alive for so the filter does not crash.......tips

and my fish.... best ideas?

-warm water changes have been done
-warm blankets were on
-filter media has been poured through

PLANTS ARE ALSO INVOLVED HERE!!!!

2 FILTERS EXTERNAL EHIEM AND INTERNAL JUWEL SPONGE.

THIS IS NOT FOR MY TANK

I HAVE POWER..........ONCE ITS ON IF I SWAPPED MY EHIEM TO THE EFFECTED TANKS WOULD THIS BE OF ANY HELP

If your water is heated by gas, you can also do frequent water changes with warm water. If you have substrate in the tanks, then there should be sufficient benificial bacteria for the tanks, so no need to worry about the filters. Just as long as you keep the water oxygenated in the tanks, by creating water movement.

I was worried about this with my tank yesterday as several places in the UK have lost power. Hopefully Ed's advice works and who ever's tank it is, does not suffer.
