How Long To Soak

I found a lovely piece of Mopani ( it was labelled as such) wood at my Lfs, was dirt cheap too.
I've been soaking it in a bucket of warm water for a few days now & it's still leeching colour.
How long should I continue to soak it before it stops turning the water brown?

There's no way of telling; some bits of wood leach for ages, some hardly at all.

The tannins (the colour, as you call it) aren't harmful to fish or anything else you have in your tank, in fact some people argue it's actually beneficial. You could easily put it in your tank right now, it just depends how much the colour bothers you.
