how long to get rid of meds

i have a juwel vision 180 with original pump etc roughly how long will it take to get rid of meds. I have done a 50% water change and put in a carbon sponge what else can i do to speed up the process or do i really need to. 1 of my platys should have her fry in about a week so i dont want to stress her out doing loads of water changes.

IME that should be fine may be do a 20% change now to be sure

will 2 more water changes this week be too stressful for my mother to be? the maternity/fry tank isn't cycled so i cant put her in there and as these will be my first highfin babies i really dont want her to abort

the water changes should not stress the mom too much but if you notice that she acts strangely after the first change then dont do the second one. If you have been doing regular water changes all along this activity should be normal to her and she should not stress. HTH
