Well, I Know For A Fact She Is Pregnant Now I Just Want To Know When I Should Put Her In The Breeder Net Because I Have 3 Other Female Platys In The Same Tank, And No Means Of Collecting The Fry If They Just Drop To The Bottom. They Would Surely Get Eaten First Anyways If You Could Tell By Looking At Her About How Long Till I Should Put Her In There I'd Appreciate It Thanks

if possible put her in tank of her own thats at least 2.5 gallons without any other fish in that tank
this way she will be more comfortable, but also make sure you have plenty of hiding space for the fry

i think its time for her to go into the breeder net or seperate tank, she should be dropping fry very soon

The problem with moving her to another tank or a breeding net is that it may stress her so much that she aborts the fry and then you end up with none!

The best way is to let her have the fry in her tank and then scoop them up and put the fry in the breeding net.

I can't believe that you have no means of collecting the fry, surely you have a fish net, if you haven't, go buy one, they're cheap enough.

It's not a given that all the fry will get eaten, yes you'll loose some, but not all of them, they're very good at hiding and very quick swimmers. Nice bushy plants like ambulia or water sprite make an excellent fry hideout as do floating plants, rocks, shells and pots. Just put some panty hose/tights over your filter intake so that they can't get sucked into it.

Also, given that you have 4 female platy's you're going to be up to your eyeballs in fry before you know it!

Also, if you put her in the breeder net, that means the fry have no means of getting away from her. Access to the whole tank with a few added plants should provide more getaway space.

Yes I Do Have A Net I Just Read Somewhere You Should Use A Turkey Baster Cause Its Hard To Catch Them With A Net But I Think Ill Just Leave Her In The Tank

LoL a turkey baster! I would think that would be a lot harder than a net! I've tried catching them with the tube off my gravel vac in the past and I have a lot more luck with a net, the net has a much bigger surface area, makes them easier to catch. Be warned tho, they're small hard to see and find and amazingly quick, it'll probably take you a while, but it's worth it in the end. I usually get my 16 y/o son to catch them for me, he's got faster reflexes than me and just seems to have the knack to "scooping" them up.
