How Long Should I Keep New Fish In Quarantine?

So far I've got my fish from people I know or at least from private homes where the fish were all healthy. However I'm planning to get some more fish from lfs and Ebay so how long should I keep new fish in separate quarantine tank?

I usually quarantine for a minimum of 4 weeks.

If you've had good luck from private homes, why not stick with those sources? Just to be on the safe side.

I'd for sure keep the fish seperate for a month. I made the mistake of plopping a guppy right into my tank and it infected my other fish and entire tank. (He showed signs about 1.5 weeks after being brought home.)
