miss timed one of my platy giving birth so all but four of the babies were eaten :(

my other female is ready to pop (she popped a week after the other last time and the time before, but think it will be sooner this time)

i want to put her in the breeders net but dont want her to get stressed. how long at the longest should they be ok in a large breeders net (not one of those little plastic ones, but the big green net ones?)

I usually try to wait as late as possible before putting mine in the floating breeder> a day or two is ideally the longest time spent in, but perhaps a bit longer if it's large enough.
Just make sure the water-flow is passing through, or put a small airstone next to it.

Hope more survive next time.

she wont get too stressed for a few days in a net, but dont put her into a trap, they are not nice, and be sure to put some floating plants in, she will possibly appreciate the peace and quiet in there :)

good luck
