How Long Does Java Moss Take To Attach...

I have a seperate tank that I have filled with bogwood and have recently started trying to attach java moss to it, Ive jammed bits of it in the holes but I dont keep fish in the tank to minimise the movement (apart from a cycled filter running) but just wondered how long generally does it take to attach so I put bits in my tanks without it just getting swept away by the fish?

Just tie it on with cotton an forget about it. By the time the cotton rots the moss will have taken hold.

Use 2 or 4 lb test fishing line and never worry about it.
