How Long Does It Take A Filter To Clone?

I have a hob filter and I am getting a c anister filter, I was just curious to know how long it would take for the canister filter to be stable enough for me to change the filter media in the hob.

I usually wait two weeks, but I've done it in a week if I need it immeadiately, just keep a closer eye on your water stats.
