Does anyone know how long zebra danio's can go without eatting? The reason I ask is becuase if I go out of town for two days and I don't have anyone to feed them for me do you think they will be ok? I have done that with my black ghost knife fish several times I just feed him real well before I left but I wasn't sure about the danio's. I know they have those automatic feeders but I don't know how I would attach one to my round tank that they are in.

I have been on a 15day holiday without anyone feeding my fish.
in fact I belive that periods of no food simulates the natural enviroment.

Ok thank you so they should be ok for two or three days.

I skip feeding my fish for 2-3 days on a continuing basis when I want breeding to slow down. As stated, this simulates the dry season when food is much less available. Healthy adult fish can go for 2 weeks without eating with no problems.

Snails usually get into your tank on live plants. They won't hurt your fish, and most people agree that snails are part of a healthy ecosystem.

In general, the only problem you will get with snails is them breeding too much, but they will only do that if there is enough extra food for them to eat. So, if you start seeing dozens (or hundreds!) of baby snails, it tells you that you're putting too much food in the tank, and you need to feed less.

By the way, please do start your own threads in future; posting on ones that are eight years old can get a bit confusing for everyone ;)
