One of my guppies was already noticeably pregnant when i got her from the pet store about 4 weeks ago - she is still getting bigger and I wondered how long it will be before she finally gives birth as I am off for a few days in a weeks time and am hoping she has her fry before then. :/

Guppies can be pregnant for up to 6 weeks. :)

Are all the conditions good, like good water params, and no fish stressing her out? Because they can hold on to their fry if there are bad conditions...

Lower temperatures also increase pregnant times. You'll have babies soon, don't worry. They breed like crazy. :)

Yippee I found fry today ....................... but they are orange and deffy not Guppies. One of my platys beat the guppies to it. Still we have now 12 babies a mix of guppies and platys. Still those other two guppies hold on to theirs though !! :D

Ivoy i beleive you have it backwards, higher temps increase fry growth and productivity...

Edit: I read your post incorrectly, yes lower temps increase the length of time being preggo, sorry :S
