i currently have a rio 180 which i believe is around 40 gallons? so in my tank i have 13 tiger barb, 4 tiny clown loach, 1 red tailed shark ans 2 bottom feeders but no to sure on what breed they are.

The clown loaches will far outgrow the tank eventually. If the unidentified fish are common plecos or something similar, they could get even bigger.

Other than those, you're fine. If the two bottom feeders are smaller plecs like bristlenose or bulldog, they'll be fine, too, and most species of loach won't get nearly as big as the clowns if they're loaches. If they're corydoras, they'll prefer a larger group, and if they're any other catfish, all bets are off since they could get anywhere from two inches to four feet long. Do you have a picture or something to help identify them? As long as they're a wildcard, its hard to guess how they fit in current and future stocking.

just bin on google and found out that the bottom feeders are Bronze Cory. would these be suitable for my tank size?

yep they would be fine but should be kept in larger groups of 6 or more. As said your clowns will need a bigger tank and IMO if your not planning a big upgrade in the future (i.e. 80-100G+) then you would be better to rehome them now and get something like botia kubotai, or botia striata which would be more suitable for your sized tank,

i will certainly re home the clown loach then, just didn't realise they could grow so big. thanks for the advice davo :good:

Great fish the Clown Loach but they always seem to attract white spot easily, best get rid of them they can become aggressive toward smaller fish too, and will soon start spanking the Cory's for feeding ground.
