I'm my own worst critic, but the water isn't clear enough (need a new filter, eheim to the rescue, fluval to the bin)... and the camera phone doesn't really show the colours in the last pic... there's a really nice contrast with all the green and the purple of the slate... but it just looks grey there.

Tank looks great, very green. I see you've cut down on the amount of plant species. I myself have done the same. Have you reduced the lighting at all? Changed dosing regime?

Personally I loved the 2nd stage the most, I loved the contrast between the reds and greens and the variety in plants. Not saying that the 3rd isn't fabulous too.
